Combinations of Free heroes in Heroes of the Storm

Gul’dan + ETC

Today we look at a normal bundle with the ETC and additional damage dealer. ETC-tank with a bunch of great control and great potential of teamwork during the game events. Gul’dan – is a good burst DPS with a high survival rate, allowing you to live a long life even under the most demanding batch. Great bunch, allowing them to combine their Ultimate, and opening up many other possibilities. For example, control on the line with full mobility and availability of the necessary damage. Map is not important.

Illidan + Li Li

Illidan and Li Li – is not just a two heroes for a quick game. This – the best combination of “killer + healing” in the game, and I’ll explain why: Illidan itself has a lot of hp and has no control. Sonya + Tracer

In our last article we discussed some basic info about minions, today we will go a little bit deeper. We will talk about their utility, and how they can help you.

Vision from Minions

Vision. that provided by creeps is needed for a perfect map control. When you pushed all lines, opponents can not move around the map without being exposed. This allows you and your team feel easier and start more aggressive rotation. Especially useful it becomes, if you have a team that need to gank enemies.

When you playing at a high level, team is constantly used vision that provided by creeps, for the creation of ganks. This can be achieved by creating pressure on the various lines, thus forcing the enemy to move. After determining the trajectory of the path of an enemy (for example some hero heading to clean up a large stack at the top), you can easily take advantage of it.

Remember that minions appear on each side at the same moment, so you can predict their movements. This can be extremely useful, you can predict when new wave of creeps will appear, and save your mana for them!

Minions support

Your play around minions is quite important in the duels. One of the most basic elements for understanding that minions deal damage, and this damage can be lethal! Never underestimate their power, especially in the early game. It will not be too smart to fight with the enemy character under his creeps without proper support. They will cause a ton of damage, if you will just stand still and let them attack you.

ESL HotS Regional

ESL Heroes of the Storm Global Championship, Summer 2016 season.

North American Regional taking place this week and the composition of Tempo Storm (HotS team) got the right to participate. 1 June 2016, players flew to Burbank, California, to take part in competitions.

After arriving at the international airport of Los Angeles, ESL has provided to players a private transportation to the hotel. Unfortunately, many arrived in the evening, so the players had to meet with the infamous traffic of Los Angeles.

The next day, the whole team woke up early in the morning to go to the area that was set aside for ESL practice.

After the first game, the participants went to the photo session to ESL could choose players pictures for broadcast. This time they hired a make-up artists, probably wanted to make sure that the players look in the best way.

Finally Friday

The first day of competitive games. In previous tournaments, ESL was trying to fit everything into two days. It was uncomfortable for both players and personal, as the game went too long, and the work day was about 14 hours. To avoid this, they divided the tournament for 3 days and had planned to start the group stage on Friday.

Due to the fact that the game has no built-in draft mode, players have to use third-party sites. Unfortunately, this site does not work too well. Tournament administrators sent to the teams a various references to the drafts, both teams pressed it quickly, and began to wait.

After the timer counted a few hundred seconds, administrator became suspicious and went to the Naventic room , to check his guesses. What have he seen? They were sitting and waiting for another team, and their opponents do the same.

In general, the championship was exciting, if we forget all the technical flaws in the beginning. All teams played at a decent level and showed the beautiful game.

Best way to learn your mistakes

Every time, when you play Moba games you need to find ways to improve your game play. Many people thinks that to improve his skills they need more practice. But this is not the only way to the top. You may look at yourself by a different angle, and look at all your mistakes with help of the replay system.

If you are the player, which want to learn, then i highly recommended to start watch replays. When you playing it is hard to criticize your decisions and see the whole picture of the game. Right here replays will be very helpfull.

You may be shocked with things that you may missed during the match. Ability to pause the game and rewind it, that what makes replay system so great. You may analyze every target if you want. You have full control and you can find what went wrong in fight which you lost.

Start criticize yourself

So, what you want to do, when you watch replays? There is a various things. You may look at all your death or opportunity of ganks that you missed. You may look at map timings and mistakes that you made. May see how aggressively you play, when your healer has low mana. By other words, you can look at yourself and criticize as it is a different player.

The most easy way to improve your game, by watching replays, is to watch every your death. When you see that you lost a big chunk of HP then try to understand why this happen. You was out the preferable position? Run for enemy too far, and opposite team used it?

When you see what caused your death, then you will understand what you did wrong in that situation and learn to not do it in future. Of course you could understand it in the match, but the reason why we watch replays – too see what we missed during the match.

Another thing that you can do, while watching replays – learn every teamfight. Look at your position, cooldowns. Your position and aggression must be at the same level as your allies has. No matter on which role you play, if your allies retreated, you must run with them.

Recap

Thank due to replay system, you can watch at all your decisions at a different angle. It will allow to not do the wrong decision in future matches, and improve your game play style.

Every one who want to improve his game, must give a chance to replays. Enhancement that you can get through it is incomparable with anything else. Watching replays – is the one of the most profitable ways to improve your gameplay, but unfortunately not too many people bothered to use it.

Five ways to save mana

One of the most neglected ways to improve their game in the Heroes of the Storm is the study of the proper mana management. Too many people come to the objects completely out of mana.

Nothing hits the effectiveness of the hero as much as mana ended.If you left blank at a time when the team needs your spells, then you will doom your allies. If this happens often enough then focus on a more rational use of mana. Regardless of the hero, whom you play, the following tips will help keep your blue stripe filled the whole match.

Learn the value of spells

The first step to good mana management is knowledge about mana cost of your spells. After that, pay attention to your mana pool. When these two parameters have become known to you all that is left to do is remember them until the end of the game. Almost no one keeps track of the amount of mana and just rely on their feelings, tells how much mana he has left.

For example, you may think: “I still have a third of bars, should be enough.” But in reality, you have 120 mana, and your abilities cost 70 and 60 mana, which means that you can not use both of them! You end up yourself in a situation where you will have to wait until 10 mana restored.

So ask yourself: “Do I need to kill the creeps right now, or I can wait 5-10 seconds?”. Often the answer is positive, especially in the early game, where a saved mana can create a huge difference in power.

Usually, after you kill the pack, you will just stand at the gate waiting for the next pack of creeps, and it is 10 seconds of inactivity that could be exchanged for mana.

Of course, there are reasons to clear line with spells. For example, you need to buy time for rotation or Ganks. Perhaps you want to push the tower. Or to kill the creeps quickly gather all the Exp and move on. In such cases, a waste of mana will be justified. Just remember that there are situations where autoattacks will be enough.

Stop use magic for meaningless harass

Just like a wasting of mana to kill creeps on line, harrassing enemy on line won’t be very effective. Recently I saw a Valla player that spent all his mana to pull Muradin to 15% health, just to see how he stepped back a little, and quickly returned to 100%. After that Valla came on a mission completely out of mana. While Muradin walked around the battlefield with two full strips!

This is an extreme case, but it shows the problem. Too often, players use their ability to harass the enemy, but do not achieve with this absolutely nothing. Remember that the health regeneration is free, healers often helps his allies and your Skilshot may miss. All these factors indicate that early harass is likely to be an empty waste of mana.

If you have an excess of mana, then there is nothing wrong with harass. It may help to loosen them up and make them an easy prey. Just think for what happens after you harass and make sure you’re ready for it.

Take some time to return to base

Almost every game has moments in which you can quickly run down to drink from the fountain, or fly to the base. A hard part is determining right and wrong time for this.

If we talk only about the fountains, then i must remind you that you can drink, even with a full stock of health, only to restore mana. If you know that you need more mana in the upcoming battle, when you run past the fountain, just use it. If you know that an objective will appear in another 2 minutes, then you can use the fountain now (even if you have 80% health) and it will be available again when you needed.

Return to the base can be more dangerous, but still worth it.

Remember the importance of the spheres

I can not count how often people walk pass by regeneration spheres. Players believe that these green balls are useless, if any of the talent does not strengthen them. But they are not useless!

If that does not expose you to the danger (or your teammate) then take every sphere that you can find! Each of them will give you a bit of mana and hp, but during the game the amount of resources will be enormous. Two spheres that you have ignored, could give you extra mana that would need to heal one that can win timfayt!

Conclusion

If you start to play and keep these five tips in your mind, you will become more conscious of mana management. Now you can remove the key “O” and “M” with the keyboard, because you no longer have to write “OOM” never!

There are three lanes in total, and that is the top, middle, and bottom. The interval between these lanes is the jungle. Dota 2: The International

The International 2016

The International 2016 is the sixth annual edition of The International. The tournament will be hosted in Seattle; it is the third consecutive year that the Main Event takes place at KeyArena, an arena with a total seating capacity of over 17 thousand.

The format consists of an open qualifier from June 21^st to June 24^th, a main qualifier from June 25^th to June 28^th, a Wild Card qualifier on August 2^nd, the group stage from August 3^rd to August 5^th and the main event from August 8^th to August 13^th.

Open qualifier

The open qualifier consists of eight regional single-elimination tournaments, having two brackets for each region. The winners advance to the respective main qualifier.

Main qualifier

The main qualifier has four regional qualifiers. The winner advances directly to The International while the second through fifth place teams advance to the Regional Double-elimination Playoff Bracket. The winner of each regional playoff bracket will join the six directly invited teams in Seattle.

The third place teams advance to the Wild Card round which consists of a four team double-elimination bracket where the top two teams advance to the group stage and the bottom two teams are eliminated.

Group Stage

The group stage consists of two groups of eight teams. The teams play every other team in their group in a best of two and the top four teams in each group advances to the upper bracket of the main event while the bottom four advance to the lower bracket.

Main Event

The main event consists of sixteen teams playing in a double elimination format over six days. The first lower bracket game is best of one, while all other matches besides the Grand Finals are best of three. The Grand Finals are best of five.

The event is hosted by Paul “ReDeYe” Chaloner, while the matches are analyzed by Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, Charlie “Charlie” Young, Jacob “Maelk” Toft-Andersen and others. The matches are commentated by Annie “Anneedroid” LeClair, William “Blitz” Lee, Toby “TobiWan” Dawson, David “LD” Gorman, etc.

Another Minor update

On the eve of the main part of The International developers released another minor update that contains several changes related to TI.

List of changes:

In the main menu, adds support for the Chinese translation
Small changes to the special effects that will take place on the stage during the match The International.

The Hateful Eight

Only eight characters were not selected or banned in The Internationale 2016.

With the exception of the Arc Warden, which is banned in Captain Mode, during the group stage were selected and already banned 102 hero. Let’s look at those left out in the cold:

Pdd could well afford to choose Treant Protector, S4 perfectly plays as Leshrac, and EGM famous with Jakiro. With the rest of the characters is not so smooth, but their appearance is quite possible.
From heroes, taken at least 10 times, Ursa, Assassin Nyx and Elder Titan – the owners of the biggest win rate – 80, 78 and 73 percent respectively.

30 july Bugfixes

The developers have released another minor update for Dota 2, which aims to correct various errors, including those related to the Battle Cup and alerts.

Bug fixes:

Fixed an issue where players were unable to leave the group Battle Cup;
Fixed a bug due to which it was necessary to move the Battle Cup today.

Removed the button “Publish the game“, which is designed for use by developers and turned into a public client by mistake;
